Margaret Travis has been an attorney for more than 25 years with the last thirteen years focused primarily on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of law in 1991 and began her career working in a personal injury practice with her Father. In 2001 she decided to spread her wings and move to a larger law firm; there she worked on litigation and large business bankruptcies. In 2005 she decided to open her own practice with a focus on bankruptcies.

Since 2005 Margaret has represented Consumers and Small Business owners in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcies and at the same time has earned a Master's in Health Administration.

Margaret works part-time for the Oklahoma Bar Association’s OK Lawyers for Heroes program where she matches Veterans and Active Duty Military with pro bono attorneys. Margaret also assists as needed, and as time allows, at her Father’s Personal Injury law practice. In addition to her other work she has handled simple divorce, small claims actions, and traffic tickets in the course of her practice.

Margaret makes soap, blogs and does needlepoint in her spare time. She has been married for 28 years and has two children and a grandchild.
